This incident caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
